Hambalang, May 24, 2025 — Despite the rain that poured during the camp, the spirit of the participants remained undeterred as they enthusiastically took part in the SHP Scout Super Camp, held from May 23–24, 2025, at Villa Kampoeng Amih, Hambalang, West Java. The event was attended by 20 seventh-grade students of SMPS Harapan Prestasi, accompanied by teachers and scout leaders.
Carrying the theme “Fostering Independence, Achievement, and Courage in Youth”, this Super Camp served as a valuable platform for character development, particularly in building independence, leadership, and bravery. Although some activities were modified due to the weather, all sessions proceeded smoothly and with high enthusiasm.
Over the course of two days and one night, students engaged in a variety of educational and challenging activities such as a national identity and scouting workshop, rope knotting and semaphore practice, character-building outdoor games, and a vibrant talent show. The campfire moment further warmed the participants’ spirits amidst the chilly mountain air, creating a strong sense of togetherness.
“The weather wasn’t ideal, but it turned into a meaningful experience for the students. They learned to adapt, cooperate, and stay motivated through every challenge,” said Kak Riga, one of the camp facilitators.
The camp concluded with a morning exercise, reflection session, and a solemn closing ceremony. Mr. Gunawan, M.Pd., Principal of SMPS Harapan Prestasi, expressed his hope that this experience would serve as a valuable foundation for students to develop strong and resilient character.
“Through this Super Camp, we hope our students grow into more independent, courageous individuals who continue striving toward their dreams,” he shared.
SHP Scout Super Camp 2025 was more than just an outdoor activity—it was a journey of building young souls, preparing them to face future challenges with spirit, courage, and positive values. See you at the next adventure!
