Jakarta Utara–December 2025. SD and SMP Harapan Prestasi successfully held Charity Day 2025 on Thursday, December 11, 2025, as part of the school’s ongoing commitment to character education and social responsibility. This meaningful event carried the theme “Caring Hands, Loving Hearts.”
The activity took place from 09.00 to 10.30 WIB at Panti Werdha Melania Pademangan, North Jakarta, a nursing home for elderly residents who require special care and assistance. Through this visit, students were encouraged to develop empathy, compassion, and respect for the elderly.
Students representing both SD and SMP Harapan Prestasi, accompanied by their teachers, actively participated in the visit. During the program, the students performed songs to entertain the elderly residents and engaged in warm and friendly interactions, creating a joyful and meaningful atmosphere. The elderly residents were seen to be very happy and touched by the presence of the children, enjoying the performances and personal interactions.
Donations in the form of daily necessities, including blankets, towels, toiletries, and other essential items, were collected through the cooperation of students, parents, and teachers. These contributions were intended to support the daily needs of the residents and to express genuine care and solidarity.
The event ran smoothly in pleasant weather and was filled with moments of joy, smiles, and heartfelt connections. Charity Day 2025 was not only a social service activity but also a valuable learning experience that strengthened students’ character, social awareness, and sense of gratitude.
