Another remarkable event last 31 August 2024 was the Parenting Seminar hosted by the speaker, Mr. Aegidius Sunusmo, M Pd, ELT, C.PS, C.IPS as famously called Coach Egi. Being proactive and responsible in words and actions is important in instilling in young minds. Setting goals will help our children to work hard in their studies. Focus on important things, be disciplined and organized. Balance courage and consideration in dealing with peers and friends. Listening before you talk is a habit to be practiced as well. Learning to value other people’s strengths and differences can make our child a humble and better person. Taking good care of ourselves by balancing our time is of utmost importance too.
The seminar ended with a workshop with the students giving surprises to their parents by giving them cute love notes and sweets. It was an emotional scene to behold as parents and kids hugged and kissed each other, showing their gestures of gratitude towards each other. This kind of event should always be part of school to strengthen the family bond and values.
