MaScie celebrations are organized to inspire students to give a presentation to a supportive audience. The activity goals for Math is to explain and celebrate the essential role that mathematics and mathematics education play in breakthroughs in science and technology, improving the quality of life, empowering children, and contributing to the achievement of learning and application of mathematics. While for Science, the aim is to engage and inspire children of all ages with science, engineering and technology. The theme for this year: MATH & SCIENCE: PARTNERS TO A PROGRESSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
For Day 1, Science activities and experiments were done. P1 and P2 were making “Ice Cream in a Bag”, P3 and P4 had the experiment about “Elephant Toothpaste”. P5 had an experiment on “Making Biodegradable Plastic”.
For Day 2, Math activity was a “A School Market Day”. It provided children with an opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills. It helped them understand the process of creating and selling a product, which is a valuable skill in the real world.
All in all, MaScie Week was a huge success! Congratulations to all the students as well as to all Math and Science teachers! Well done! Till next time!
